Do you like BIG hair?

I feel so out of place sometimes because so many people like big hair and im not crazy about it. I'm wondering people view on it. So, do you like BIG hair? Why or why not?

Maybe it's because I'm from the South or maybe it's because I have a big head, but I do like volume. I like my relaxed hair to be teased slighty with rollers. If my hair lays flat, my big ole' head seems to come all out the closet. I'm exaggerating slighlty, but my head is very circular. They called me orange head my junior year. I think I look better when my hair is teased.

i don't know Napp. sometimes i think for me it's all about personal comfort levels.

Big hair is like a big metropolitan city or a big stretch limo or a basketball players' big danged feet.........it sorta commands attention; wanted or unwanted and i know if i walk into a room with my hair in big-hair mode, it's gonna get attention. i'm still not comfortable with that and am still trying to find my perfect comfort level.

so i typed all that just to say that i loooooooooove my big hair but i don't exactly like the attention it always seems to draw on itself and at this time, prefer to keep it downsized in "quieter" low keyed styles.

This is how I feel too ..... I love BIG hair. I was called big head allot when I wore my hair slicked back in the military by my stupid Senoir NCO. I wish I could of said it back. LOL!!!! Now I am a civilian and if I ever run into that man......oh lord.....

Isn't that the TRUTH!? I have never gotten so much attention with my hair being natural and big. People just look at me with "awe". And I know they look at me this way because they are not used to seeing women wear their hair the way I do, or, they are surprised that I being a black woman am wearing my hair this way. Each day, I'm getting more and more used to it and it actually builds up my confidence more.

I have a big head & big eyes - the big hair tends to balance everything out. My hair just got to the perfect fullness at 4 weeks post. I'm sooooo happy I'm whole again!!

Let's just say I like to see big hair on bigger folks. Being just under 5ft. and wearing a 00p, I could be working my outfit but everyone would be like "ooooo I love your hair". I prefer not so big on me so that the compliments would be well rounded.

I'm different on this. I have big hair without doing much and my hair is very thick. Especially if I got to the salon, I tell them please don't make my hair look so big. It's like on the top of my head. Now my eyes stand out even more since I got Lasik. But I can deal with big hair, but not if it's poofy. I'd rather have bouncy, fluffy, big hair. I did my hair 2 nights ago, and when I dried it, it was all big. I did the baggy method on my entire head and that help me totally. I dried it, and my hair looked perfect...nice and moisturized looking, thick and fluffy.

This black woman (late 30's) came up to me and was like.."Let me give you a card, its a new salon opening up on xxx road and then turns and walks away"....She wasn't smiling.

I had just went thru Taco Bell earlier and this black guy was like 'I really like your hair, it's sexy. It's different and I like women who are different'
So I tell my SO about both encounters and he said he thinks the black girl was hating.
How can you walk up to someone and offer them a card and not introduce yourself?
Of course. I wasn't pissed off until I got in the car and realized just what had happened. "What the ??"
OK, I digress now.

But yes I LOVE MY BIG HAIR and I'm not letting any other person impose their hair insecurities on me..

omg, i HEART big hair!!!! im so envious (in a good way!) when i see girls with it. ive gotta work really hard to get my hair looking big and voluminous, and even then it doesnt last more than a day or two. but it looks just so good!!!
