Do you have a signature hair style?

I am so tired of trying to duplicate hairstyles that I see others do only to place my hair hair in a bun because it doesn't turn out as expected. At first I was feeling down about this, especially since I have a youtube channel, but I just think I should stick with what I know and that's two strands/twistouts and bigger two strands and twistouts. BORING, I know, but what am I to do? Maybe those are my siggy styles.

Sure do, big braidouts are my specialty. Its cool because I'm relaxed but I can still get natural-like volume in my hair.

I do, it's an every day bun that i've been rocking for at least six years now. I still don't know how to style my natural hair :ohwell:.

Unfortunately, my signature style is the good old boring pony tail :perplexed

Sometimes I fold the pony tail into a low bun. That's all...very boring!

@Honeycomb, your hair is so pretty. What products do you put in your hair because it looks so soft.

Thank you!!

I use Long Aid Curl Activator gel, it's very moisturizing and makes my hair almost too soft and very shiny. I put just a little Ecostyler gel (which makes my hair crunchy) over it for a soft but defined hold.

I PS in wigs most of the time, but the few days a month when my hair is out I put it in my "Ms. Vaughn Up-do". Its named after the chica with the fabulous YT channel; she's the first person I saw with this style lol.

It's super easy and low-skill, doesn't require any products, and is cute enough to fool people into thinking I spent a lot of time on it lol. Here's a pic:

I really try to switch it up as much as my time allows. During the work week I do puffs, buns, ponytails. When I have more time on the weekends, I do twists, twistouts, braidouts, and straighten my hair (not very often on the latter).

A boring ol' bun. I "switch" it up by moving the part from left to right, or adding accessories

Bought some flexi-rods so hopefully I can learn to use them to add something new to the routine. I've failed at rollersetting :(

It's a bun and side swept bang for me most of the time. When it's warm out I might do a braid out with a pomp' at the top. I'd really like to get more creative this year

Gosh, I wish I could say that I did. For awhile I was doing the braidouts, but suddenly I coudn't seem to get them to look right. And I think it was just too much manipulation.

I've been doing the WnG lately (got tired of my failed hairstyle attempts). Today I'm rocking a pretty decent pony puff and actually thought to myself this morning, maybe I should just rock this as my everyday hairstyle. But watch, I'll go to recreate it again tomorrow morning and it will wind up looking like who-done-it. {sigh}

I do. I call it a curlly puff. This is an everyday style for me and due to my own laziness I barley swtich it up - lol.

4B natural hair is co-washed and sectioned into 6-8 sections (depending on how much time I want to put in.
Each section is sprayed w/ Giovanni leave-in, Sprayed with S-Curl No Drip and sometimes add a bit of Eco Styler then run the denman thru that section.
Ends are curled like 3b type of curl - hair is pulled back into a puff.

I can wear this for 2 weeks if I wanted to. Maintenence is suuuper easy. Spray on a leave in and work on a bit more of Eco styler and wrap 10 min before leaveing the house or on the way to your destination.
