That is just the way some stylist build clientele. Most aren't trying to say your hair looks bad, they are just saying come and try their services.

I don't get offend by it because I have done it and meant nothing by it when I do it. I had them out to any and everybody if possible.

It would be different if they were only handing them out to people that had tore up heads of hair. That's a different story.

I agree like I said before but there is a professional way to approach someone and a rude way. For a hair salon everyone should be a candidate even if there hair looks great I would think.

:yep: That is EXACTLY my point. I was in WAL-MART of all places. I wasn't the only person with HAIR in Wal-Mart, let alone the only black person/woman! The CHECKOUT lady was a black woman with hair. But did she give her a flyer?? :nono: IMO it makes your business look bad when you APPEAR to be singling out canididates. :ohwell:

Nah, I don't get offended. I take it like the many women that walk up to me and offer their Mary Kay cards.

I wear my make-up nicely (when I do) so I think they look at me and say "Oh , she's into make-up, maybe I can get her to buy some MK!"

Same with the hair stylists , they look and see that you take care of your hair so they want you to spend your money with them.

I don't get that often for my hair, but I do for my son's; he likes to let his hair grow out until it looks almost unkempt. As long as he keeps it clean, combed, and moisturized, I really don't care. However, every time his hair gets long, I always get a business card from a barber. I nod and smile...then find the nearest trash can. If I needed help, I'd seek it. :look:
