Do you call your man Daddy?

NO.
I am SUUUUPER creeped out by that Twista song Daddy. "Can you be my daddy? I need a daddy" whatever....it makes me feel some kinda way. Not anything good either.

That song is gross, I always turn the station when it's on. Reminds me of some hooker calling her pimp Daddy. Just ewww. :barf:

i call my man daddy..papa..papi! I can't help it..it just comes naturally to me. Every male in my life that is important to me is papa or papi..

No no and no.:nono: I don't call him any type of father figure name ever. I'm too close to my dad for all that.

In my life's experiences (and I'm young so this is only what I know so far), women who don't have a strong bond with their father are more open to calling their SO daddy than women who feel deep connection with their father. IMO

Maybe is some experiences but in my life experiences women who do that are usually doing it in a sexual, flirtatious type manner because for some reason that have a tendency to turn a man the heck on. I and have to be honest, I do not like a man calling me mama but I would call them daddy for the purpose I stated above.

I never had a relationship with my father so I don't associate "Daddy" with anything in particular. *shrug*

Me too. But to me its still a little weird. Like where the heck did this stuff originate? I would do it when I am married with kids, but in reference to him in front of them. Kinda like (while speaking to them), "Go get the keys from Daddy". I can't imagine it any other way...:perplexed

No. I dont have "daddy issues". Plus, I have a dad, that I have a great relationship with. Nor do I feel I need to ego stroke my husband by calling him"daddy". I'll leave that up to the kids.

I don't do it cause it grosses me out, but i think it originated from old blaxploitation movies where the pimp was called daddy by his hoes. To most of them he was the only father figure they had and he provided for them like a father would.

My husband is Puerto Rican and I didn't want to call him the same thing his ex wife called him. She called him by his name so I only call him Papi. The ONLY time I call him by his name is when I am mad or irritated with him.
