I recently read a post where a member recommended taking 1 week off every month from vitamins. She said she got a lot of growth doing this, so I figured I'd try it. You may want to give that a shot and see how it works.
I read a lot of the threads here on biotin, when I wanted to use it and it was recommended that with any vitamin you should take breaks i.e. use for a couple of months then stop taking for a couple of weeks/months before staring again.
These are vitamins. Your body needs vitamins and minerals to function properly. Your body just can't say one day "Oh, I've had enough vitamin C"... you'd get scurvy! I believe that if we give the body the correct nutrients, it will take exactly what it needs and either throw away or store the excess... always.
They don't stop working, your body just stops needing them as much...When I first came on this site.....being the pj that I am, I started taking all the "hair growth" vitamins that everybody recommended....my nails grew like crazy and my hair started growing in thicker everywhere......after a month--almost 2 months, I noticed that my nails didn't grow as fast and my hair didn't seem to grow in as thick....I slacked off on the vitamins and re-started them again Jan 1...well, I can definately say that I am getting the bristling feeling of hair growth back and my nails are starting to look better. From now on I will take a break for a week once a month.
