Do the vitamins grow hair in \"other\" places?

I'm wondering. If the vitamins are helping growth on the head. They don't cause hair in other areas do they? /images/graemlins/blush.gif 'cuz that would suck!.

Oh, and how soon after beginning the vitamin regimen can you start noticing the effects?

Yes they do, at least with me. The hair on my legs and my eyebrows grow in much faster now.

Eyebrows? Oh my God. /images/graemlins/ooo.gif But not like on your back, all over or anything, right? I can handle legs, but not face, back & crap. Even eyebrow is scaring me. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Re: Do the vitamins grow hair in \"other\" places?

I have heard horror stories from commercial hair growth pills like Shen Min and Viviscal. These are not vitamins though, they are pills. A friend of mine took Shen Min and grew a fine goatee. I used to take Vivscal until I noticed a disturbing increase in chest and stomach hair. It wasn't bushy but considering I normally have NONE I noticed it right away. I stopped taking it and shaved a month later and it never grew back, (though my ex husband thought it was sexy- YUCK!). Most vitamins won't have that effect because they are vitamins. They are present in your system anyway. The most you can expect with an increase in certain vitamins is an increase in the density of leg hair, scalp hair, and sometimes pubic hair, though the latter is the least noticeable. Commercial pills usually have some sort of hormone or animal protein or something in them that makes hair grow in other places. Hey what do you know? I actually remembered something from college! /images/graemlins/cool.gif
