I am seriously considering rollersets. I've read many threads where you ladies say that your hair is healthier, but noone ever mentions growth using this method.
The summer is coming and I don't mind the heat (indirect, that is!)
Well IMO rollersets do not create hair growth, but it maintains the elasticity of the strands, and keeps the ends sealed and protected. So rollersets promote length!
They can allow you to retain your length. If you blowdry and flat ironing after every wash that can cause your hair to dry out and break off from too much heat. So rollersetting is a better because you're using indirect heat.
Rollersetting grew my hair out. It is very healthy because it is indirect heat. Check out my fotki. I grew my hair from bottom of neck to apl in one year.
Rollersetting works for me because it allows my hair to dry smooth and keeps the cuticles uniformed. Airdrying always left me with ruff dry hair. learning how to rollerset was one of the best things I've learned on my journey to healthy hair. While it does not make my hair grow, it does allow me to retain much more hair then before!
Thanks Ladies! I think I'll try my own personal challenge to see how rollersets work for me. Wouldn't you know that as soon as I set my mind to this, my time becomes limited!
