Hi All,

It's been 10 weeks since I did the bc and for the most part my hair looked good --- nice and healthy. Its about a 1/2" long.

Anyho, since I'm starting to get grey hairs around my edges, I thought I would lighten my hair. I used peroxide and baking soda and I left it on for 45 minutes. My hair only got a little bit lighter --- a mousy brown. So, I decided I would just henna it all back black. I used a henna by 'Light Mountain' which I used in the past with good results. I left it on for 5 hours and it did nothing. After the henna process I clarified, dc'ed and rinsed with acv.

Today, my hair is extremely dry and brittle again, what do I do? I really don't want to cut it off again. Also, it looks likes my hairline may have broke off a little. Why didn't I just leave my hair alone... :perplexed

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

 I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm not familiar with hair color much ( besides henna), so all I can tell you is do DC often and keep your hair moisturized if it is dry and brittle. When I have too much protein or my hair gets too dry for my liking I DC every other day until my hair is back to normal. Also try not to manipulate your hair as much. I'm sure other naturals and peroxide users will chime in with advice. Sorry I couldn't help more.

I dc'ed last night with Silicon Mix and hair was still soft with morning. That stuff is Great. I'll do another dc this weekend.

As far as the color I'm going to leave it alone for now.

Thanks for your response...
