has anyone in NY ever gone to the dermalax salon/hair specialist on Nostrand ave. in Brooklyn? I am considering going there, I have gone there for hair treatments and a consultation, I hope that they are good because I am tired of hair dressers damaging my hair. They say they specialize in tricology and I most of the customers I have seen have long hair. Just wanted to know if anyone knows of this company.

so i had my first touch up at dermalax today. I have been going there for scalp treatments for a few months. I am very happy with how my hair turned out. Carol my hair dresser, she did a strand test and only one strand came out and she actually listed to what I had to say about my hair and how it needed to be processed. She roller ster my hair using some kind of affirm setting lotion or something I couldn't see the name it was foam-like. All in all I like the way my hair turned out and I like my hair dresser. If they were cheaper I would be happier. But they get a B+ from me.

If you don't mind telling how much did it cost. From their website, it seems like they are very scientific, is it a salon type atmosphere?

the first relaxer is $55 and then 45 after that. They give you a free deep treatment and style after. It is in a saoln atmosphere and even though it is more expensive than I am used to, the stylists are very knowledgeable. I liked it. Also I have hair that is pretty thin and it looked full after Carol (my stylist) combed out my roller set.
