For the Aveda Universal Styling Creme users...is this a product that could be used to lay down hair in lieu of gel?

I use the JA Black Castor Oil. I tried to use the Keracare moistruizing cream and it made my hair hard.

Most times my edges are way too kinky to lay down with a creme like this. But, I am not really a lay down the edges girl, so maybe that's why.

For me, this is just a moisturizer.

I alternate between Africa's Best Organics Carrot Oil Cream (light protein) and QB Sidr Tree Butter Balm (more moisture), depending on how my hair feels.

I had a lot of success with Profectiv Breakfree.

Before I put in my braids I used NTM silk touch leave-in or Salerm 21 and used profectiv healthy ends on my ends. After I take my braids I plan to use silicon mix leave-in and profectiv healthy ends. I tried the silicon mix on a section of my hair and I love it so that's what I plan to use!!!

My main two staples that I use religiously are UBH dew spray, or ORS olive oil moisturizer(bottle). Both of these have water as the first ingredient and oils afterwards and are great for my rollerset styles.

I also use Herbal Essences break's over creme, ORS carrot oil and ORS olive oil(jar)... but mainly when I do braid/twist outs.

i say it once, and I'll say it agian: For value, price and health... Africa's Best are AWESOME for moisture. Best investment EVER; I actually made my own braid food out of the shea butter detangling lotion, amla oil and jasmine oil, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Growth Lotion, and the Hair Mayo Leave-In. Also, If i have the money to spend and i need that EXTRA moisture.. CD's HHB (Carols Daughter Healthy Hair Butter, i know you are new henngirl so i broke it down).:)

I use Mizani H20 for night time and Keracare creme hairdress in the AM. With Ojon or EVOO to seal. I love the way this combination gives me shine and my hair doesnt feel weighed down.

I really like Qhemet Biologics Olive Oil Detangler. The scent is light and not overpowering and it moisturizes and detangles like a dream. However, I have been eyeing the Mizani Rose H20 Hairdress for a while and would like to try it.

I totally agree. I have been using the leave-in hair mayo daily and I like to seal it in with JBCO.

I also use BB Oil Moisturizer while airdrying to put back the moisture and oil into my hair.
