CurlyNikki straightens her hair - I'm in love! (Link)

Put a little color on a patch of hair near the root. Use a color you can see clearly. Follow that patch. This makes it easy to measure a years growth. Also allows you to see how much your retaining.

You can also measure the hair from the color to the ends to see how much you retain.

Before hair boards, we all thought the color was fading or wearing off. We didn't realize as it was reaching the bottom, the hair was breaking off and not being retained.

Because my hair is so dark, I would have to bleach it. I wonder if I could do it despite the fact I use henna in my hair...

My friend is always raving about Shi (she goes often) now this...grr...good thing I'm too lazy to get my hair done:lol: and cheap btw. From what I've heard Shi is pretty expensive

They did an awesome job! I hope one day KimmayTube goes to a salon (if even just once) to get this done too. Her fanbase would geek out :yep:

Her hair is really pretty.

I wonder if someone with a different texture than curly nikki's (which silky and easy to straighten)could get similar results with low heat.

Here is a pic of my hair with low heat, but done with small areas of hair at each swipe of the flat iron:

Nice & Wavy
What temperature did you use? I used 260 on my Sedu and I didn't like it much. I bumped it back up to my usual 340 and used it on smaller sections and I love it!!! It's swanging and flowing and just pretty  I'll come back and post a pic later but using smaller sections is beneficial!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that she did something different to her hair. it always looks the same to me know matter what she does or what products she uses. Nice job nikki :-)

Her hair looks nice. She said she was going to purchase those shears. I am also looking for good shears but dag those things are $300-$700.

What temp did you use? What products did you use to straighten your hair?

I love her and love her hair!!! After you have been on the boards for years length no longer matters . You know it will always grow back. I have been bsl for 2 years because I keep cutting it. Its hair it will grow back!!!!

Not if you're me, LOL. I hold on to my hair like crazy because I know it will be years before I'll see real length.

I used to be like that. When I reached my goal it was no longer an obsession. Now I just make sure my hair is healthy. CurlyNikki has been in the game for a while her length probably no longer matters to her. SN I am mbl not bsl..lol ..I also love your bun!!!

I got it done at the salon, so I'm not sure what flat iron she used at the time.

Thanks :D

I've been "in the game" for almost 10 years (not sure about CurlyNikki) and natural forever. I wish my length obsession would go away, but its always with me, LOL.
