Curlisto method: What products do you use?

Ok...so no one really uses the curlisto products for the curlisto method. What are the products that you use (and for what step) for the curlisto method?

It is a method of defining natural curls. There are some youtube videos on it but here is the actual curlisto video for tightly coiled hair.

I just tried it today, failed epically, I might add, but I used shea butter and Fantasia IC gel. I'm not sure if it didn't work because I should have used something other than shea butter or if my hair is too thick.

On the videos I watched the first product was always something creamy for moisture and then gel for definition.

If you have to do all that to "define your curls" then maybe it's just not meant to be. I mean really, 6 products? And it didn't turn out all that cute.

OP, Pokahontas (I think) started a thread yesterday about using Lustrasilk shea butter to do this and she LOVED her results.

LOL I feel the exact same way. Most of the people I have seen do it only use 2 products at most. That's the reason why I was asking the question. 6 is crazy!

I use ecostyler gel and hawaain silky 41 in 1 moisturizer. I can't do the curlisto method well, but I still get better curl def than that video. No way you need so may products to define curls. After she washed her hair, she already had awesome curls. I use my fingers and do a raking version of it. I just don't have that kind of time in the morning to be so thorough.
