I have very fine, thin to medium density, fragile 4b hair...plus I'm a slow grower. I had to come to an understanding that my hair will take longer to retain length then other hair types and I may never have the fullness or length that I see other ladies with. However, my goal is to grow my hair to it's full potential, I have yet to do that, so I have yet to see what my hair can do.
OP, give your hair the opportunity to show you what it can do...before you make claims to what it can't!!!
HHG!!!!

Don't know much of the genetics behind it though.
@OP: I've been on this board since about 2004 and IT IS POSSIBLE!!!! You hear me!? My hair is definitely 4a/4b and not only have I grown it out long relaxed, BUT I bc'd in 2007 w/a mini chop in 2008 and my pressed hair is just above bra strap. I'm not even one to try every product/participate in every challenge.
