About a year ago I had the same problem. I found a product on the website www.justnaturalskincare.com called "Itchy Scalp Treatment." I woudl put spray this on my scalp and the itching would stop immediately.

Hey! I'm not sure if they are still in business. Their website expired in 2009, and also they are in Florida.
I will take you up on your tips.

The problem was resolved thanks to essential oils.
Sulfur 8 is toxic to the liver and kidneys along with other organs. It contains petroleum. So I will not be using any.

This happens to me when coconut oil gets on my scalp and I don't properly rinse it away...Crazy thing is that my hair seems to like coconut oil (at least for sealing)...I just have to be careful about getting it directly on my scalp and making sure that I co-wash often when I use it

The last time I itched like that was when I used synthetic hair for my individual braids....also I get the itches during a growth spurt.
