My hair seems to be doing nicely and I would love to have my hair cornrowed with extensions added for a lil' protective style. However,in the past I have noticed some breakage. Idk if the hair mixed with mine is too rough and breaks my hair or I wasn't taking care of them properly (at least I thought I was)or what. Have any of you experienced this and If so, what did you do?

i have had problems with extensions. the fake hair cuts into my hair and causes me to have split ends. human hair might be better for you. i decided that i wouldn't use extensions for cornrows anymore, but you never know. i have become comfortable with just braiding my own hair. i don't have that fake it until you make mentality anymore. (this is not directed towards you) i look like a little kid or like i'm about to set it off, but that is ok. maybe you could treat the hair before you use it too? i don't know. i hope someone else comes in here. good luck.

Key is not to have it too tight. I have been cornrowing my hair for years, with and without added hair. Make sure the stylist is gentle. You are better off having slightly loose braids than tight ones.
