hey all,
i bought some coconut oil the other day and I was wondering what is the best way to use it on my hair. i realize that you can cook with it, moisturize your skin with it and put in your hair; but what if anything special do yu do with it to optimize hair growth?:ohwell:

Hey! I use it to coat my hair the night before I wash and detangle. I sometimes use just a dab to seal my ends after moisturising. I know there's a thread about it from just a few days ago. I tried to search for it for you but my search feature isn't working. It's about oil rinsing originating in India.

Thanks all. I use it on my ends like crazy, i can't get enough of it, it smells so good but not in an overly sweet sickening way. Luv it!! Massaging my scalp sounds like a good idea cuz i washed my hair last night and air-dried and today my scalp is a bit dry and itchy.

Ditto! I'm about to write a post on my experience with coconut oil. Love the stuff.

i LOVE coconut oit. its really light it use and doesnt leave build up in my hair. i like it at night after iv damped my hair alittle- its a goods seal.

I've always used EVCO but only just recently started using it daily and it has made a HUGE difference in my hair! I love it even more than I did before. I cowashed (sorta) on Saturday then applied a moisturizer and applied coconut oil root to tip. I put my hair in a banana clip (after fighting with it 4ever) and just took the banana clip out last night. My hair had completely dried but still looked wet/damp and was so soft! I have to attribute this to the regular use of coconut oil in conjunction w/my moisturizer.
