For my hair I use Dabur's vatika oil, which is coconut oil enriched with herbs and extracts for healthy hair.

I ingest regular coconut oil. I add it to my oatmeal, use it instead of butter on toast, cornbread, my greens, curries, lots of foods. It has done wonders for my skin and nails, which I am having to trim way more often than I am used to. It is also helping me lose weight! I do mix a bit of coconut oil with my body lotions for velvety soft skin.

I use coconut oil on my wet hair for my 1 braid. I also use it on my damp hair mixed with shea butter.

Hmmm, I'm in NJ and I've never had it solidify on me out in the cold. I always assumed that the heat from my head is enough to keep it from getting to the freezing temp. Then again, I don't stay out in the cold very long.

I scrape up a glob with the bottom of my comb, melt it in
the palms of my hands and slap it in my hair & scalp.
