Good Going !! i recently did the big chop and a twa is very elegant and requires little maintenance. It would be better from you to do it from early so you will understand your hair and the products it likes.
Just stick a white flower in it for the wedding and you will be da bomb

Kenesha, I'm so proud of you! I had no idea you were going to do it so soon. I've been transitioning since early September '03 and I don't know if i can go much longer.

Earlier this week I was on a business trip in New Orleans. My hair was giving me fits and just wanted the relaxed ends off!! The week before I darn near got a touch up because I was so sick and tired of the two textures. Thankfully my fiancee talked me out of it. One thing I know is: I have to overcome my fears and just be ME. I'm too vain to be walking around with raggedy ends.

By the way, I think a TWA is very elegant and suitable for any classy affair. I've seen some fierce puffs too. Natural hair looks fabulous with crochet flowers and other ornaments. So you have nothing to fear. You'll be absolutely radiant on your wedding day.

That's one of the reasons I'm doing it now...I know if I keep on trying to transition I will be very tempted to go get a relaxer to make it "easier" for me. I'm ready to get to know my natural hair texture now...so by the time it's Sept. I'll be a pro!

Well .. congrats on the decision! You can always borrow my lovely wig that I got at our meeting from you. I'm loving that thing. I wore it to chruch for the past 2 sundays and most people loved it. Others were like you don't need that your hair is already long .. blah blah blah.

I can't wait to get up the courage to wear it to work. But I'm sure that day is coming cause I'm having some challenging hair days lately.

I'm going to write you a PM.

Well great, plus by the time your wedding gets here you still may be able to have your style even if you get it straightened with a flat iron or comb it out, but I am sure you'll be fine showing your natural style too. Go on with your bad self!

Hey...how did I miss this...CONGRATULATIONS! I am confident it will turn out well and your hair will thank you for it. Cant wait to check out the album to see the pics.

15 hrs and counting till BC time. I will be bringing my camera to the shop to take pics, but it's not a digital so I'll have to wait to get them developed and then scan them.

I can't wait!

Don't have us waiting too long though. I was like that too when I was trans. It didn't last long. You're going to love learning your new hair and it will grow back fast so go for it!!!

Jeez I feel like I'm the one going to get it done. I just know you're gonna be so happy when you get rid of those ends. I wish I was that brave because I've been transitioning since the summer and my ends have been a constant pain in the butt for me yet still I'm punkin out

. Can't WAIT to see your results. Maybe you'll inspire me.
