Choosing a date....

How did you choose? Did you randomly pick a date or was there a meaning behind the date you chose? I'm confused on what date to choose. I know I want either May or June but I'm stuck on the number. Wish I can know what the weather would be cause last thing I want is rain.

Kinkyhairlady, I just picked a random date that wasn't anyone's birthday, anniversary or a holiday. Also, the availability of my desired venues determined the date as well so you may want to check with your venues first to see which dates are open. This may help narrow things down a little.

I choose the day that was closest to the first day we met in person. We had an online friendship since we were in middle school. Seeing each other in person for the first time was very emotional. We already celebrate our dating anniversary on that day, so a wedding date would just be as simple.

I knew I always wanted to get married in October because I love the fall. Summer is too and Spring is too, and winter was just a no for me. But now since I am 90% sure I am doing destination, the weather is a moot point, however, I really want 10-10-15 because that would be 5 yrs from the day we met.

We figured it would take around 6 months to plan the wedding as I have friends who had already been down the aisle and I helped them in planning their wedding.

I got engaged in May, we set the date for November. Called the venue and they had 2 Saturdays available in November. We picked the later of the 2.

I wanted a date that wasn't too close to our birthdays in the spring and had an even date. Since we had a destination wedding it was also important that it wasn't too close to major holidays so travel wouldn't be too expensive. Also, Dh's "lucky" number is 4, so that's we decided on April.

I just chose a random date, I didn't really care about that so much.

My parents anniversary was available and that would have been cool to have the same anniversary as them. Unfortunately another couple booked it before we did.
