I gotta know: 1)What are all the ones you have tried (& review if you like) 2) Which one was the best/will be re-purchasing. 3)And also let me know if your hair just doesn't like cholesterol
My hair does best with queen helene and lustrasilk as far as detangling and slip is concerned. But now im totally in love with the green Lustrasilk superdetangling with aloe vera. its very moisturizing and leaves my hair silky and tangles fall right out even better than queen helene.
I've used Queen Helene & Brentwood Salon Care Professional(from Sally's).
The Queen Helene brand didn't do much for my hair. The Brentwood makes my hair feel very soft & moisturized, but only if I leave it in overnight with a plastic cap.
It felt very greasy and when I rinsed my hair was rough and tangled.
Lustrasilk
(It's been a while and I've noticed they've changed the packaging--maybe they have a new formula...) Again, when I rinsed my hair was hard and tangled. Hairlox
The only cholesterol I found that didn't have petrolatum or mineral in it. But it's getting harder to find so I tried Le Kair
! I love this stuff! It's almost as good as Tropical Avocado, IMO.
I like the peach colored one and the olive oil formula best. It's cheap, it softens my hair and I can find it on practically any store shelf.
The only cholesterol I've ever used is the lustrasilk super detangling formula with aloe (the green one) but I followed it with kera care humecto, I had great slip and my hair was extremely easy to comb through. I don't know if the cholesterol helped or if it was the humecto itself but it worked. I always follow everything with humecto just in case the product doesn't detangle enough for my liking humecto always "fixes" any unwanted results, lol.
The only one I'm using is Dark and Lovely cholesterol and I really like it. I'm not having any tangles at all and I can comb through my hair when it's wet.
I like Lustrasilk - but I put Olive Oil in mine. That makes any Cholestrol worth it's salt IMO. I do this with all of my conditioners that are just kinda regular. It punches them up.
In fact, Sally's got it for $.99 for the month of October( the big tub) the tea tree, herbal, aloe vera. Well what can I say....(pj)I bought 5 already and yes I'm going back for the tea tree...all out of that cuz it sells 1st
I'm changing my mind on the Proclaim Cholesterol. It seems to leave some kind of film on my hair. Not going to use it anymore. {Sigh} I'm still in search of a basic deep conditioner.
