Chi Silk Infusion Vs. Regular Cones

Has anyone used both of these products?

They both have quite a few similar ingredients listed,
with the first one being cyclo/di-methicone,
except, the cones based products, do not contain silk proteins.

Has anyone used both and noticed a difference, i know there is, just wondering what it is.
Thank you,
Devoted cone user (will be trying the Chi soon)

What's the name of the other brand? Or are you talking about cyclomethicone and dimethicone by themselves?

I'm using (in love)
Proclaim Glossing Polish Frizz Eliminaing Shiner

Ingredients:
cylomethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicaone, phenyl trimethicone, aloe leaf extract, wheat germ oil, sweet almond oil, safflower seed oil, canola oil, castor seed oil, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamatem fragrance

I love the slippage, manageability, combability (which combing is rare).
I dont care for the stickiness it sorta leaves.

I will try the CHI SILK INFUSION, the next time I perm, can't afford it before then.
Wondering if, I am getting any of the effects of the CHI, since they share alot of the same ingredients.

Silicones are phenomenal heat protectants. Is that what you want most or do you want added strength to your hair, too?

I have used both Proclaim Glossing Polish and CHI Infusion and there is absolutely no comparison between the 2. First of all the Proclaim serum has a lot of oils in it so you don't want to use that as a heat protectant as Navs has so eloquently outlined in a recent thread on not using oils in heat protection. ;) The Proclaim serum is okay to use otherwise, but to me the CHI Infusion has a much nicer texture that isn't thick and goopy like the Proclaim can be.
