I just found this online. Apparently, this was released in Dec. 07. I went on CHI's website but I could not find much info on this. Here's the report:

It's even on YouTube:

I researched the CHI and the FHI this past week because I wanted to buy one of them. I went with the FHI. What's so crazy about this is a lot of the reviews on www.folica.com said the on/off switch was faulty :nono:.The bad reviews even talked about it not lasting over a year... It was because of that fact that I ordered the FHI.

So if you're itching to buy a CHI, I would think twice about it...I don't know if this issue has been resolved yet.

Sorry if this was already posted...

I was skeptical about the CHI anyway, because any iron that cost that much needs to wake me up and iron my hair itself:look:. I bought the generic CHI from Sally's (those generic products are pretty good). Anyway, I wasn't too impressed with that iron.:ohwell:

Why is this? What makes fhi better for you?
i guess its just personal preference but the chi snags your hair when you pull it thru. when i told a friend that, she said, OH yeah it does! even my stylist went back from a fhi to a chi and knew it w/o looking! the irons kept snagging my hair and when i looked back, low and behold it was a chi.:yep:

How you do like the generic CHI? I'm thinking about buying it this week when I get paid. :look: I am way overdue for a flat iron and I can't afford the actual chi. I also saw a knock-off Chi at Wal-Mart for about $40, which I may actually purchase if the GVP Sally's "chi" doesn't get good reviews.

Hmmm, I must be lucky because I've had my chi (red one) since 05' and still going strong.

I have a Chi and have had it since 2006 and it causes me no problems. I'm sad to hear this though, but I will stick with my Chi until it dies!!! Chi 4 life!!! LOL.

*ETA* Oh, but mine is not the wee chi, so never mind.
