Do certain hair styles cause your hair to shed more than others?
I'll be brief with this one. If my hair is in neatly parted natural hair twists, I will hardly have any shed hair when it's time to take them down. It may be that I took the time to thoroughly remove all the shed hairs before hand, but over the course of a night or a few days, I don't accumulate too many.
When my hair is out and in a combed out afro style, one or two hours can pass and when it's time to comb again (for bed or a change of style) there is hair fall galore.
I don't believe that these long stands are broken hairs. If they are, then it's time to pray to wooly haired Jesus. But I don't have any other insight on this. Could someone else share experience?
Next time I wear my hair combed out and frod out I will post a picture of the shed hair.
