Ceramide Treatment Review

now that I’ve finally been able to purchase a decent amount of ceramides, I can thoroughly see how they effect my hair for a longer term.

I’m just reviewing the first application of this product:

It’s a 2 pound bag, so this should last me until next year.

It has the feel and smell of a soft lotion. But goes on very lightly and absorbs almost immediately. I absolutely love this product.

I ordered this from amazon and it’s called Korea Hair Treatment Ex PPT ceramide Treatment. It is written in Korean and I haven’t had a chance to translate yet, but I will update with what the packaging says.

On the Amazon website it mentions that this product is also good for chemical processes or heat styled hair as well.

I sat with it in my hair for 30 mins then used a heating cap for 10 mins. My hair is the most lightweight it’s ever been. My hair is Completely moisturized, feels stronger, adequate elasticity, and coated without being weighed down.

Product washes out clearly, and performs remarkably better than a lot of deep conditioners I’ve bought in the past. This can be used in place of conditioners and deep conditioners. So I’m going to stash away a few things I’ve bought and see how this fairs with bi-weekly scalp only shampooing.

Very well crafted product. Light smell, absorbs well, not heavy. I also tested this product on my skin, and for what it’s worth this might be a full body moisturizer as well. No itching, no sensitive spots, and a pleasant smell. Not super heavy on fragrances.

I’ve tried the Phillips Kingsley Elastizicer from his website.

I really liked his product, the ones aimed towards Afro hair did their job, only reason I prefer the one I reviwed is because it’s like 2x lighter than the one from Phillips Kingsley. That brand also distributed a bit too much moisture concerning my own hair. And I had to balance it with hard protein, which took a min.

I do like this Korean product because it seems to be formulated with a balance of both protein and moisture already. So I don’t have to try and find another product to balance this one.

I will say though that’s it’s not completely an elasticity Treatment by itself, but more of a combo of elasticity and strengthening. It’s light as a feather and goes on very creamy and has an outrageous amount of slip.

So far I haven’t found any English ingredient list.
There probably aren’t any, but what I do know that’s in there are PPs. Polypeptides. They break down the Ceramides in the treatment to basic amino acid chains to allow for better absorption.

Vitamin B and E is in there

Cetenol , which is a glossing agent similar to silicone.

Silicone Oil is in there as well.

And Aloe is in there as well.

There are a few ingredients but those are the ones I could find.

I didn’t mix anything with it, just used it as is.

But I see no reason why this can’t be mixed with water, or even added to other products.

When I say lightweight, I’m more or less hinting to the connotations of detangled, free flowing strands. Not light weight as in decreased amount of hair.

If that makes any sense?

No volume was lost or anything.

In a sense I’ve had products that felt heavy and weighed down my hair. This one didn’t.

I ended up using the whole thing! Lol.

Let’s see, these are the main things I noticed:

1. Softness
2. Manageability
3. Lightweight
4. Strenghening

This product did a very good job of keeping my ends healthy more so than any other part of my hair. Over the long haul, my ends have held up nicely. It does a good job of softening new growth as well.

Tangles. So far this does a good job of spot reducing tangles. Either in or out of the shower.

Scalp. This is my favorite quality so far about this product. I did forget to mention this earlier, but this is one of the few products that is okay to go on my scalp.

Few downsides to this product:
1. Does not mix well with JBCO. For some reason this product almost denatures when mixed with it. Mixed well with Shea Butter and Coconut oil
2. Not a good leave-in. At first I felt like this could be a good leave-in, but it has a tendency to form a cast. Which is okay if you’re a wash n go person who likes hold, but I get breakage from hardened products like that, but for the most part this product needs to be washed out and used either as a conditioner, or deep conditioner.

They are mentioning the proposition 65 warning in the description and highlighting birth defects, cancer and reproductive harm. That gives me pause before purchase. I recommend taking a look at this before buying www.P65Warnings.ca.gov . For those already using please reevaluate it's safety to be sure.

If this is a fluke, exaggeration or someone has more insight to propsotion65 or this product or if the warning on k-mart is in error please elaborate.

Did find an infographic with more info about the product. And it says not to apply it to the scalp. Given what it's designed to do that makes sense. Hopefully 2019 won't see me growing a nose from my neck.

Thank you. This is good. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's just a be careful and use with care like with perms or if it's a real danger but just more lax on a dangerous ingredient because different countries have different standards. Thank you.
