*Jay- Z voice* Allow me to re-introduce myself!!!

So this January Marked one year of hair care on LHCF and 2 years into my healthy hair care journey.

Here's my speil...I have always been natural mostly because I excersize a lot and I keep my hair braided or pulled back. I have never had a problem growing hair and I attribute that to PSn but my hair has always been damaged and uneven because I never knew how to care for my hair! around my senior year of HS my hair was BSL but no healty. My mom took me to a salon to "train" my hair and it all fell of to about 1 inch in a matter of months:wallbash: *I dont have pics of these days*

about 3years later and lots braids and cornrows later I started to wear my hair out more. I found a decent beautician and she gave me a regular press and curl. and trained my hair. I became bored with my hair quickly  and I was tired of depending on a stylist.

Press and curl days:

Around this time my college room mate introduced me to natural hair via YT only problem is she didnt explain to me some of the specifics lmao

1) I have never had a perm sooooo why did I do a big chop :wallbash: I just thought it was some thing you did to "go natural"

here is my choped hair I choped mid feb 2008:

this was pre LHCF so I tried styles but I still wasnt doing much for the health of my hair but here are some looks I had ( I liked this length) I felt spunky!

So june 2009 I did my first length check....dont laugh yall :lachen::grin: but I was hella mad at my ends I was like my hair looked better b4 all this "natural stuff"...I show this just so U can see my humble beginnings.

My "S&D" turned into a 2 inch trim BUT I still see progress!!!! So I wanted to share since this length check bring me to 1 year with LHCF and 2 years "natural" this feb

I took 3 posses to compare with my other photos.... I think from now on I will continue my pics with my arms down so I can see when I hit APL and BSL and what not more accurately.

And finally I went out of town this weekend and cut "Michelle Obama" bangs! I love LHCF because my hair finally looks fly after a year :yep: It was like I took my hair on vaction too!

Jan 30 2010 I used a SEDU!!! im in love with that thing!

You have some beautiful hair...lobe your braid outs. The bolded got me :lachen::lachen::lachen:

And thank you all 4 saying lovely things about my little ol' hair....it took me a year to build up the nerve to post my own progress.

There are so many gorgeous heads here!!!

and I have seen/ heard enough to not dare claim a length till I am full something lol

Gurl!!!!! I after I finished being mad once I discovered what a "big chop was really for :wallbash: alll I could do was laugh! :lachen: just goes to show the importance of research!

I'm glad you were able to laugh about it...Your hair looks nice and healthy. Congrats!

Your hair looks great, and I'm sorry about the BC. If I were you I would be a little salty when looking at the longer hair'd divas, like, "hmph that could have been me". You definitely are a trooper.

I would be lying if I said I never had the "what if" moments. Im not too mad about it....I guess that just my personality.... I find the humor in almost anything. Because after my BSL to 1" disaster 4rm the beautician who wanted to make me look "peurtorican" I am conviced my hair can bounce back 4rm anything lol

but actually the salty ppl were the ones in my social circle! They gave me h-e-double hockey sticks about it  They called it the "juices and berries look" and thought I was a little :drunk: just because they werent use to it.

but what makes me smile and laugh about it now is the fact that my hair has already out grown my peer group so i have some sort of validation about it all.

Love the picture timeline. Your flatiron job is pristine. What's your reggie for that? Congrats on being APL.
