...or member who does a good job on their own hair and doesn't mind helping a sister out!

I don't do my own relaxers, and the more I stay on this board the more I realize I might be better off letting one of you do it. I like the stylist I have but I might have to go through this :arguing: :poke: :spank:  to get her to do what I want (neutralize properly/moisturize my situation/preserve my sexy). So I am on the lookout for someone to do my relaxer. I'm not due until March, so there's time.

I do have some stipulations, though:
1) Must have a fotki with recent pictures of your hair.
2) Needs experience texlaxing hair (I don't want bone straight hair)
3) Cannot have kids under the age of, um, eight? Kids are demanding and can derail all kinds of stuff. Please don't get mad, I just know what I'm willing to deal with.
4) Must be friendly and willing to listen

Hopefully that's not too demanding and I will get some responses! Thanks ladies!

PM Dontspeakdefeat or Balisi. DSD relaxed my hair in December and it turned out great. I don't relax bone straight either. Also I have heard nonthing but good comments about Balisi. There is a thread that lists LHCF stylists and where they are located. Good luck and I hope you find someone good,

Definitely contact DSD or Balisi! I've never been to DSD, but I know that she will take care of you.

I've been to Balisi a few times and the service is great, plus we've developed a friendship.

I think you will be happy with both!

Thanks so much. I would definitely rather drive to someone who will take care of my hair (versus taking care of my money...by just TAKING it w/o regard for my hair).... seemegrow is that thread in the salon review forum? (I'll search for it, but you know how that sometimes goes)

I was going to suggest my old stylist, but she just had a baby :(

Oh, and the baby thing only applies if they work out of their home. :) Just in case I wasn't clear in saying that. Thanks anyway Determined. ;)

I don't do hair, but wanted to recommend Adraine at Salon Aniyah. It's on Rainbow Dr. in Decatur off of Candler Rd. She's been my stylist for years and I love her because she puts healthy hair in front of everything else!

FYI, this is the most recent picture I have from my "time" with Adraine. It's TODAY... Flexirod roller set.

I've also updated Fotki with the back of my head.

Oh ok...Actually she has a really cute studio in Roswell. She's very professional and very into healthy hair. My hair was beautiful, thick and shiny when I went to her.

If you want her info just let me know.

Balisi is in the ATL. Her hair is natural and beautiful. She does great work, excellent at time management and great customer service. Uh I forgot to mention very good prices too.
There was another thread about LHCF stylist etc. You might want to do a search for the information.
