Hey guys

I plan to:

Base
Relax
Neutralise
Colour
Deep condition under steamer

Is this ok? I am low porosity

I personally would not. I'd be scared that there would be minute amounts of relaxer/dye residue seeping deep into my pores. If it were me I would wait until the next wash day to steam.

I do every relaxer. I apply avg on my scalp and then my DC's and steam for 10-20 minutes.

I don't. I tried it one and my scalp seems a little tender. I did burn during the process and steaming was the only thing I did differently. So, that was my first and last time.

My stylist does this every touchup (but I get a clear rinse vs. dye).

I did it and the results are super duper soft hair. Its never felt like this after a relaxer before! Under the dryer in a rollerset as we speak. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks

lonei, yes, I steam immediately after a relaxer. I, much like Ms. Tiki, find my head is a little more sensitive. I attribute it to not having thick new growth to absorb the water droplets. The water droplets are reaching the scalp directly, thus making the scalp a little more sensitive. I simply steam on lower heat or for less time.

divachyk I wish that was an option b/c my hair does love to be steamed. I have the salonsrus steamer so it doesn't have a temp setting :(
