Hey guys

I am low porosity and am about to relax my hair. Was wondering if you can mix these two together and how much if so? Can you also steam with this conditioner in on relaxer day?

Thanks

It'll raise the pH of the condish.

Relaxers in general have an incredibly high pH to begin with. Your low porosity hair will still respond to it without help from the baking soda mixture, which will have a lower pH.

In what order were you planning on using the products? The BS mixture before the relaxer will make for the relaxer to take faster. The mixture after the relaxer will keep your cuticles opened until you follow up with something lower in pH. I've never self-relaxed and I don't know the ins and outs that come along with, but it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

not a good idea, for reason said above, baking soda raises the ph and after a relaxer you are suppose to use things to bring your hair back to a normal ph
