Can you look at one's hair and tell if they used a box or salon relaxer?

I've always used box perms from the store (Dark n Lovely) and it always does the job for me . When I say it gets the job done, I am only talking about getting the NG straight. I've never had a slon quality relaxer before so I honestly don't know what the difference would be. I'm just wondering if there is indeed a BIG difference in store brand relaxers as opposed to salon quality. Can you look at a woman's hair and say "my gosh, her hair looks so beautiful, looks like she got a Mizani relaxer...it looks so X, Y and Z!"

Not if it's done right, I used to get perms done at the salon, and people thought they were a box perm.

The only thing I can tell is if the relaxer has been applied correctly or not. I can't tell what brand it is.

No, it's all about the technique. I can turn out pretty bad from the salon as well as the box or vise versa.
