Can you dye relaxed hair? PLEASE say YES!

I don't see any pics w/your hair looking red. I see the black and light brown color. I'll keep looking though.

I did tell the people at work that it took you three tries and they were like .

I think i'm gonna focus on getting my hair in the best condition and then just go for it. I believe in trying stuff, so i don't have any regrets!

What does that look mean? I guess they think I'm a liar or crazy, oh well. I gave you advice the best I could! I got great results, but I guess that would mean more if I had some proof! Like I said, you know your hair best. I hope you eventually get the desired color because red would look great on you.

Are you also talking about the pic in my first album where I'm wearing weave with the crazy blue eyeshadow? That hair was from a photoshoot for MilkyWay Weaves. I used to model for Shake-N-Go Hair before I left NYC. I don't mind sharing the pics, I'm really proud of them, well, most of them. I just hope that I helped you in your quest for firey hair!

My sister actually has jet black hair and we dyed hers but it didn't get all the way to the red she wanted. It was darker than the intended color, so yeah you would need more processing time than someone with brown hair (or lighter hair). You could go to a Colorist though, especially since you are apprehensive... It's their specialty.
But good luck. I think it would look fabulous, if you did it!


BTW, Have you thought about trying a rinse first? [Has anyone ever done a Red toned rinse?]

My sister actually has jet black hair and we dyed hers but it didn't get all the way to the red she wanted. It was darker - I would go to a Colorist though, especially since you are apprehensive... It's there specialty.

Yeh, I did a semi-permanent red and it did NOTHING. I think i'm gonna just do the permanent eventually. Once I get up the guts.

I've always been told that staying closest to your natural shade is healthiest because it requires less maintenence to keep the color.
