I went to my derm...and he said i had (insert big hard word here) which was the cause of my really bad dandruff problem, and he prescribed me a shampoo but he also told me i should try using mostly Glycerin based products in my hair and that his "African-American patients" have had great results with it.

I thought it was weird how he kept telling me what worked for his "African-American patients" so i'm like

and thinkin to myself just say my other patients, geez

So i was hoping you guys could tell me some products if u know any. thanks

I'm not sure about oils, but as for moisturizers, Curl activator type products are glycerine based. You can also follow that with your favorite oil. HTH

Yes the curl activators all have glycerine. I recenty started using them and have fallen in love with that they do for my hair. There are also the sprays. Plus you can make your very own spray with glycerine from the pharmacy. You can mix with water and some other leave in conditioner and spay in your hair.

I mix vege glycerine with jojoba oil and my leave in. There are recipes available with shea/mango butter, oils and glycerines, perhaps u can experiment.
