Can Someone Explain To Me How Chi Silk Infusion Is A Heat Protectant.

I bought some today per instructions I got on this forum when asking about a good heat protectant. Nothing on the bottle at all says heat protectant. Can anyone explain how this stops your hair from burning?

It's the silk proteins themselves. They form a barrier and, as the strongest natural fiber, I'm gonna assume that barrier is pretty good. The barrier absorbs some of the bad effects of the heat.

I'm condensing an old 50 pg thread, btw. Search for it. There used to be a scientist here who broke this all down.
