I'm finding the SMB a bit heavy for my hair.
Is Silk Elixir a good enough protectant? I know it probably won't be as great as SMB for helping against reversion (FYI, SMB doesn't prevent my roots from reverting) but I am assuming it can be considered a heat protectant right?

These are the ingredients:
cyclomethicone, cyclopentasiloxane dimethicone (and) dimethicone crosspolymer, cyclopentasiloxane dimethiconol, hydrolyzed silk protein, fragrance/parfum, octyl methoxycinnamate

Thanks :)
