Hi everyone,

I bought a wig yesterday that I want to wear at my best friend's wedding. I am the maid of honor and I have to look my best. I already lost 13-14lbs in 7weeks for the wedding. Now I am worried about what to do with my hair. I permed my hair 2 weeks ago, but it came out "a hot mess." I don't want to reperm and I was thinking about weaving. But I saw this wig and thought it looked liked my real hair. Do you like it?

its a wig? or i thought it was a weave to me its fine even better if u have it all black but it doesnt look like a wig styled and all it will be nice i can t see the bigger picture but just with the small it looks alright but it will be better if u find just one color for the wedding
 
i dont like it its kind of too shiny and i dont like the auburn but if you like it wear it

i think your hair is nice

The dress is red. I asked the lady if they have one tone, but that was the last one. I took the one off the dolls head....Trust me I said the same thing, but customers in the store told me it looked like my hair.
 
I agree w/ some of the others---if you can get another one that is one color--that may be a bit better for the wedding.

Also agree w/ msportugal--I too like wigs w/ less shine/silkyness.....they seem to look 'more' real.....

Congrats on your weight loss! That wig looks really nice on you. Being that I am a bride-to-be, i want to give you my perspective. It is a small picture so it's really hard to see what the wig REALLY looks like. Whether it looks 'wiggy' and too shiny, or if it looks like real hair. I SERIOUSLY think you should ask the bride before you make your decision. I know that i would be HIGHLY UPSET to find out that one of my bridesmaids decided to wear a wig and i didn't know about it. She will be concerned that the 2-tone color looks fake and probably wouldn't match her wedding colors. She'll be VERY concerned that it may throw off her photos. Again, its hard to tell from the pic if your wig looks like real hair or if it looks 'wiggy'. So use your best judgement.

If your relaxer didn't turn our right, maybe getting a sew-in would be better, or perhaps get a professional pony/bun. they look gorgeous for weddings.

Hmmm...red is a bold color, so I would definately wear a solid color wig. Can you try another wig store? I would show this picture to the bride as Mizani Mrs. suggested. What about a phonytail? You could even buy a pack of human hair and make a nice bun with it. That's what I would do.
 
The wig is okay...but I really like how you look with the half wig in your weaves and wigs album (picture #11). I think that it would go better with the color of the dress.

off topic: congrats on your weightloss! You look fabulous. What did you do?
 
I'm not too keen on it, sorry hottopic.
I think it looks a bit too shiny, though that could just be the camera flash.
I don't like the 2 colour effect, reminds me of someone growing a colour out.
I do like the style though, I think it would be good in a single colour, not too shiny wig.

(For those who can't see the big picture, get rid of the last g in wigg)
 
solid color... i like the style as in the curls.. but as others mentioned since red is a very powerful color already.. the hairstyle i think should be simple/chic and one color..congrats on the weight loss...
 
The first pic didn't do the wig justice---looks nice in the 2nd set!
But to make a choice---I would go w/ an updo or a wig in one color---
let us know what the bride-to-be thinks.......
 
Can you take the picture with the wedding dress on? I think it will be passable. The style looks good on you. I would need to see it with the dress since red is a funny color.
 
I think your own hair looks much nicer. Plus, if there is all this discussion on whether the wig is a good idea or not with the majority of peolple saying "not" for various reasons (color, shine, fake, etc), you don't want the church to be focused on your wig and not on the bride. Before wearing the wig, I would slick my hair back, purchase a phony full bun, and roll with that. You will look elegant, and neither you or the bride will have to worry. Plus, you don't want to be in front of the church feeling self-conscious. Just my opinion. Good luck.
 
The wig is nice and looks good on you. But I think it looks unreal to me maybe because of the way it shines. I dont mind the color.
 
I like it Hottopic. Especially the second set of pics. Some people say it looks shiny, to me it looks like you just got a fresh relaxer and then glossed over it with some oil. I think you'll look pretty with the wig or a phony pony. I say go with whatever style makes you feel prettiest.

Ditto, I think the second set of pictures show it off better. I think it looks cute and not as shiny and red as the first set...prolly just the lighting.
 
I like the style of the wig and everything, and the color isn't awful or anything. I personally would prefer it more if it was one color. Can you dye it a nice brown color?

Man, I just got married and on the real I just wanted all my bridesmaids to look their best. Some of them had gold hair, black hair, whatever. Honestly, I wasn't really feeling the wig in the first couple of pictures, but as I got to pictures 6 I really liked it. I like the bangs swooped to the side. So I guess my short answer is yes, I like it!
