Can I use thinning shears on a curly, synthetic wig? TIPS?

I cut down my new wig (winter style) and have it in the basic shape that I want, but it's puffy. I want to thin it out but am afraid it will be a frizzy mess:perplexed

Can you use thinning shears on a curly wig?

Any tips?
Should I wet it, put conditioner in it?
Something to keep it from frizzing up?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I have done it but I think it looks really good the way it is, I HAD to do a double check LOL

You don't really need thinning shears for curly hair but they don't hurt either. You could also just snip out small sections with regular shears. I never wet wigs to cut them. I don't see frizzing being a problem unless you use a comb. Spritz it with water or conditioner and water when you're done then finger fluff and style to get it to where you want it. I agree it looks nice as is, but I'm scissor happy with wigs and I'd probably take just a tad out of the top.

what??
It honestly looks fantastic the way it is!

but i guess you could try to weigh down the curls with some gel or mousse product...I'm sure that would work.
