Can anyone recommend a 'natural hair forum' or natural hair blogs?

It's for a friend who is 1 year post and has no where to turn. I told her you guys would be glad to help and ladies TIA!

Okay for the forum, would this not be a good place for her to come?

There are others, but I don't think they can be mentioned with the advertisement rule that has been posted.

I am not sure about the blogs but she can take a look at some of the fotkis, look at youtube and she will eventually be led to quite a few hair blogs.

There is nappturality which is infamous/famous. People say it can be very extreme there though but many ladies say they like it, I can't tell you much about it myself. I've also heard complaints about the lack of helpfulness for transitioning people.
I know that hairlista caters to both and so does lhcf. I'm not sure if there are any ladies who aren't relaxed at KISS.
why don't you tell her to come here? There are lots of champion transitioners here. :yep:

naturallycurly.com has a hair forum with some nice ladies, especially in the 4a section.

This forum has many naturals and transitioners... she should definitely check it out.

Off the top, Naturals' blogs: newlynatural.com, curlynikki.com
Is your friend still transitioning?

I'm transitioning as well and this forum is the only one I go to :yep: LHCF welcomes all types of hair (relaxed, transitioning and natural).

I looked around and this [LHCF] is hands down the best source of info for naturals. I have been pleasantly surprised at the tips I've picked up from the relaxed ladies as well.

As a natural head, I recommend your friend start here in the archives.
Just because she's natural doesn't mean discussions with permed women are meaningless.

LHCF is a great place if she plans to wear her natural hair straight and wants to talk about it - discussions of such don't go over well on every forum. :nono: (For better or for worse - no judgement!)

I think there is a really (and I mean really here) MILITANT one called NAPTURALITY.com (sp) (you can even talk about blow drying or flat ironing there) :sekret:

Naturally curly 3/4 type sections, Curlynikki, Black girl long hair, Going Au Naturale, Newly Natural, Leave in the kinks
