I was looking through the issue of SBH magazine with Kelly on the cover, and in there was an advertisement from Optimum featuring a "Multi-Mineral Relaxer System." It is "a patent-pending blend of sodium, calcium, and lithium hydroxides for silky hair full of body and shine."

You couldn't pay me enough.

This is what the add says:

Actually, the ad makes no sense. I don't understand their use of the word "preferred". Ah well. Steering clear of this one.

yikes....particularly @ lithium hydroxide...its like the most toxic formulation they could think of I suppose. Is that why its still patent pending?

edited to add: I think calling it multi-mineral is misleading as well, since its actually multi-hydroxide.
