I would suggest doing what you have been doing since it has been working so far. Not all pple get 1/2 inch a month of growth, so it may take a little longer for some to get where they want to be. If you quit now, can you imagine what your hair will look like 3 months from now from neglecting it? Proper hair care takes time, patience, and consistency, most of us wouldn't be where we are today without those 3 things.

How far post relaxer was you in the first pic?
your right im being a brat ...im jus aggrvated i think am just going to try to leave my hair alone as much as possible. and just do the basics

I see growth. Another thing I noticed is that your neck is not straight in the updated pic, it's slanted forward. But yes, I do see growth and I see how healthy it's looking. When I first started the hair care forums, I tried almost every challenge, purchased everything I could get my hands on and the list goes on. Yes, it's frustrating until you find what works for you. I've learned that sometimes you need to take a step back and refocus.

Don't quit, just re-evaluate :yep:

girl keep on it . I will shedd like a crazy person if I go past 6-8 week post relaxer and I have learned that that s*** is not for me like Dark E change your regimine ok and keep us updated. you know what it is funny because I would have felt the same way in my start of my jouney if I did not have my kids to keep ma mind off the hair growing .. so you will get there and believe me you will feel very different very soon .

Why would you quit? It's only been 12 weeks. You've got another 12-24 months to really see the hair I suspect you are looking for. Enjoy your hair! It has grown a bit and it's thick. If you want long, thick, healthy hair, it'll take time, dedication, patience and consistency. I learn this all over again every week. It won't happen overnight and you'll probably make some mistakes (not too serious I hope) but it's hair and it's growing regardless, you just focus on taking care of it and keeping it on your head and it will do the rest. HHG!

Awww. Don't quit. You sound like me every 10 weeks! Maybe you are just focusing too hard on length vs. health. Maybe you set a goal that was a little too optimistic.

I agree with HoneyDew. Maybe take a break from the boards to keep yourself from comparing your hair to others. Instead, keep a hair journal and just measure growth with every relaxer. You may be surprised at the results.

I think you have hair anorexia (like me). I feel like I should have come WAY further than I have in the 1 1/2 years I 've been on the board, but I decided to focus on what I've LEARNED and incorporate that into my regimen.

Keep doing what you're doing and continue to focus on what IS working for your hair. Ease up on the length checks and pray for patience. It's GOTTA happen. There are too many slow growers here with beautiful hair. Hang in there!
