OK...I'm trying not to over react here, but sometimes this hair journey gets hard. I think it's even tougher for us thin haired ladies. Sometimes I think I should have made more progress than I have. I look on this forum and see ladies who have grown 6 inches or more in a year, and my hair still looks the same length as when I started in summer of 06!!!

Despite a few setbacks, I thought I had a solid regimen, but now my hair is shedding like crazy. It looks like I am going to have to stop baggying and bunning for a while because the breakage is unbelivevable.
I did the unthinkable today...I used my Maxiglide and the stupid steam squirter is broken so I used it dry (shame, shame). The thing is... my hair still looks see through at the ends.
Now I feel like I have to start all over. I quit going to the salons because I got sick of spending money on them damaging my hair, but now I'm not so sure they were damaging it any more than I am currently. Though it's very difficult for me to roller set, it looks like I'm going to have to break down and perfect it in order to get my hair to stop shedding (too much stress from pulling it back...).
Here's my logic, however. With me struggling with placing rollers and sitting under the dryer and deep conditioning, my at-home roller set time is at about 4 hours. That's how much time I would spend in the salon getting it done (considering I did not get into the chair until at least 45 minutes after my appointment time and them being just plain ole slow), and it looks way better when they do it and I don't have to fight with my own hair.
I dunno ladies. I have hennaed, Pre-pooed, DC'd, oil rinsed, swallowed a tub of vitamins daily, applied every topical agent suggested on here at one time or another, and my hair LOOKS THE SAME!!!!! Maybe some of us just aren't meant to have long hair (sigh). Thanks for letting me vent.
