I wear a part down the middle so I just smooth the sides downward then back and i'm fine.. I really don't have a problem with my hair line from bunning..

I've been wearing a bun daily since Oct 1. My hair is definitely growing. However, I am worried that the tension from the ponytail will affect my hairline.
How are you protecting your hairline from breakage.
TIA
but it does the job for me.
most of the time I wear my hair loosely pulled back into a bun. Headbands help with looser pulled back styles. Instead of a structured bun maybe you could try a low chignon or a double bun style or doing something different with the front and bunning the back. They have a lot of variations on the essence hair gallery. Switching it up may take the tension off a little.

Even headbands you need to be careful with. I don't wear a ponytail but I use hairpins to pull my hair into an up do and lately I've been wearing a headband to hide my new growth but I've noticed slight thinning at the hairline, so I'm going to have to stop wearing those for a while.![]()

Great suggestions, AVE One. For the most part, I rely on not pulling my hair too tightly or excessive smoothing with a brush.most of the time I wear my hair loosely pulled back into a bun.
