Am I the only one, that when I wash my hair, a hand full of hair comes out? And I mean on a regular basis,...not all of a sudden.

what is your hair regime maybe the conditioners and shampoo are too harsh for your hair maybe u need a protein treatment cannot give a specific reponse without more info

Do you come your hair out before you shamppo? If not, it could be hair that has shed but hasn't fallen out yet.

<font color="brown">Are you noticing long hairs (with bulb on the end), or short broken hairs?

If you are noticing long hairs, then you are probably just shedding. If the hairs are broken, then you need to examine your care regimen and/or products. Give us a little more information so that we can get a better idea of what may be going on.

Well, right now I use Creme of Nature Shampoo and Conditioner, Apex pressing oil, and TCB grease. My hair only comes out when I wash it, because it turns back natural. After it is pressed, only like 6 hairs comes out after that. The hairs that do come out, come out from the root, so there are white bulbs at the end.

Well, considering that not a lot comes out after it is pressed, it's probably just shedding.

It was just another thread that I read on this board, and the question was, how much hair comes out when you wash it, and responses was, barely none at all. So...I was just wondering.

Thank you for your responses!

Pet, you are definitely not alone! Four weeks into my touch-up I use a lot of hair, so much so that sometimes I want to cry and believe me I do all the right things, protein, deep condition, moisturize everything. Hopefully some of the others will be able to help you.

Yesterday,

I used a conditioner that softened my hair too much and I lost more hair than I usually do. If you're using a conditioner that softens your hair without imparting any strength into it (soy, collagen, keratin, or wheat protein will give it some strength) then that could be the problem.

Thanks Supergirl! *goodbye Salon Selectives Moisture Drenched Conditioner*

My hair was coming out in handfuls after I would wash my hair and detangle it. I let the conditioner sit in a half-an-hour on Friday, thinking I was doing some good, and when it was time to comb my hair after I washed the stuff out, I lost a big handful of hair. And here I was thinking that conditioner was doing some good.

i used to think my hair was coming out alot when i washed it but i realized i was sitting there pulling it out by checking to see if it was really coming out. i shampoo with cream of nature then apply lekair cholesterol conditioner. I used to notice alot of hair on my hands when i first started using lekair now i hardly see any breakage. It takes about 4 or 5 times of using it to see a difference.

I have a lot of hair that breaks when its wet sometimes it is so much, that it is scary. For a while I was seriously considering not washing my hair because of all the breakage. I mean when I was my hair in the tub. The bottom of the tub looks as though I have given myself a really good trim.
