BSS near UCLA hospital?

L.A ladies!
I have to go to L.A tomorrow morning.
I will be at UCLA hospital (in Santa Monica... I'm assuming).

I'll pretty much be cooped up in the hospital most of the time but will probably take a walk now and then to clear my head.
Since I'm out walking I would like to know if anyone knows of a good BSS in that area (no car, just legs to get around).

Shopping is a good relaxant for me and I do need to stock up on sleeping caps and other stuff.

It would also be good to know there is a café or something where I can bring my own PC and connect to internet around there.

Anyone?

Sorry, Nina. I used to work near UCLA ( it's in Westwood) and I don't think they have any BSS near there. You can try taking a stroll on Westwood Boulevard between LeConte and Wilshire. There are a few salons that sell some products that you may be able to browse through.

As far as cafe's go...there's a good ol' trusty Starbucks, I think it's on the corner of Westwood and Ashton. There's also a Whole Foods on Gayley that may have WiFi access.

PM me if you're looking for good spots to eat...I have a friend who has a sushi bar over there and there are a couple of other little spots.

I went to school at UCLA There is the main hospital in Westwood by the actual school, but I think there's also a branch in Santa Monica, so it depends on which one you'll be at. In Westwood, I haven't been there in awhile, but when I was in school, it seemed like the stores would change up a lot and go out of business then new ones would start up so I really have no idea what you could expect... Westwood is a fun little place to visit though and I'm sure they'd have what you're looking for if you stroll around.

Santa Monica is also a fun place to visit, so either way, you can walk around and check things out. Good luck tomorrow!

Yeah, I'm fine and home again.
My brother was in a car ccident and was in the ICU at UCLA westwood for a week.
He had internal bleeding, blood clots, broken arms and ribs but is doing fine now, home and walking about.

Before I left I hit every CVS, Rite Aid and two-bit bss in the area within 4 hours.
