I use this brand as well. Actually, it does solidfy. During the winter months, I had to position it in front of my heater for a minute so I could use it.
I really like it. I use it on my hair, face and body.
I do this with Vatika oil, too. It's main ingredient is coconut oil and you could go mad trying to get it out of that tiny hole in the lid if it isn't perfectly melted. But if you put it on the floor of the shower while you shave, etc, it's nice and melted when you need it.
If you are going to just use it on your hair, it really doesnt matter, IMO, tho I think you get better skin benefits going the unrefined organic route. The spectrum is easy to come buy, tho I think they process their oil with heat. Its also cheaper, around five bucks a jar vs 15-20 for the same amount from a company like Garden of Life. They have a few different types, so you can get the refined that has no smell or the unrefined. It's been years, but the one I tried from nature with love was smooth. I tried parachute, but didnt like it. I guess they process it with heat also because it smelled like burnt coconuts. I threw that away. If you are also going to cook in it get coconut oil supreme. Mannnnnnnnnnn this stuff makes THE BEST pancakes. You can buy it here: http://www.coconutoil-online.com/index.html It's also creamy, smells good, and is great on skin and hair. That site also has a bunch of info on choosing coconut oils and how they are processed and refined.
