I was wondering if anyone was still doing the braid challenge? I got a little behind on that but I was planning on doing individuals this weekend and then I planned on doing braids on and off for the next year. Anyone want to start with me on the braid challenge as of Monday?

yep. i'll join u. i just took out my braids last week. i'm wearing buns for a couple more weeks, then i'll get rebraided again.

I will join you. I have corn rows now and getting individuals in about two weeks or so. I am going to get some Sulfer 8 spray and Surge and do this heavy while braided. I can't wait to see the results.

I'm in, I'll get mine in about 2.5 weeks because I just got a retouch last week, so about middle aug before I get mine.

Hi, can I join too? I am currently sporting cornrows and I plan to be braided for the next year also.
Regina did you say Sulfer 8 spray?

I might need to try that. Do you know if it helps with growth?

You better count me in on this. I just took my cornrows down last week to give it a rest. I'm going to braid them in tomorrow evening. And I planned on wearing them for two months with resting period in between. I'll also be Surging and applying my butters on my ends, moisturize with Sta-Soft-Fro, and cleansing my scalp with Sea Breeze.

Sulfur 8 spray. Yes They sell it a Walmart. I am going to use it with Surge to see what happens

I'm in! I just got my hair braided today in boxbraids (individuals) and I'm going to keep getting my hair in some type of braided styles until next year June or July...then I will submit to the 'creamy crack' for my wedding

...still undecided on what to do with my hair after this....

I'm still on it, I have braids now for the final time before I relax at the end of the month. I'll be on a mini hiatus from the challenge, but then I'll start again in October.

I'll join you! I'm going to get braids on and off for 15 months.

I'm going to use a watered down version of the crown and glory technique, along with my WGO concoction and surge.

I'm wearing extensions to manage my 5 months of newgrowth until I'm ready to cut my remaining relaxed hair. I plan on doing a 1-2 months braids/3 weeks no braids routine (to allow my scalp time to recover from the braids)

Hey girls, I know I put this post out there, I am sorry I didn't get a chance to respond but my computer was down, it's been acting up lately. Anyho, how's the challenge going for y'all. I haven't had the chance to do my braids like I planned (Sorry) But I definately plan on getting them soon. But please keep me informed on how your challenge is going and I will join you on the next round, which I guess will be in 4-6 weeks! Right now I am still doing my protective styling and everything is going good. Thanks for your understanding.

I've always been on a braid challenge, I'm always in braids or twists of some sort, so I guess I'm in, plus I just got retwisted yesterday, regiman will be changing soon, mostly new products, for right now, weekly washes with Surge powerwash, condition with Suave milk and honey, Surge mixture of peppermint eo, glycerin, and Infusium 23, moisturize with mixture of Salerm, Wojee Cream, Mango butter, and ORS carrot oil

I got texturized on friday and the results were good! I am still getting my braids this upcoming weekend because now that I'm graduating I have no time for too much hair care I need something simple and convenient.

I am in,I recently got box braids a week ago. I will keep these in for 6-8 weeks, and the rebraid. I am in school, and my goal is to keep my hair braided for the duration. I am lazy, I wash about once a week, and spray with diluted Infusim 23, about once a week.

do you keep your ends moisturized with braid spray of some sort? I mean your hair will grow but you don't want to have dry ends, dry ends=breakage=not retaining lenght.
