I've never done a braidout (and to be honest never heard about it until I came to this forum D:) and wanted to know how to do it?

Do I just put my hair into a few braids??
Is it better with braids or twists?

Twistouts look better on my hair. You'll have to try both and see which you prefer.

I agree with Miss*Tress

personally, I prefer to do twist outs first and then in the evenings, I just braid my hair into 5 big sections and undo the next day. That way, I get the best of both worlds (curls from the twist out and stretched hair from braiding at night)
I dont retwist at night because it just causes tangles and unbelievable frizz

thanks so much for those videos!!

Does anyone know if it looks better if I twist it or braid it?

Twistouts give me a more defined curly style. I ussually do 8-15 twists on wet hair with a moisturizer, and pomade for hold. When I' going for a stretched out fluffy afro look, I do braidouts on dry hair with scurl.

I suggest you try both a braidout and a twistout. Most people find that one works better than the other. I divide my hair into four sections and do 2-3 braids per section with satin rollers on the ends. It's best to do them on hair that is 80-90% dry. They are harder to dry than twists, IMO.
