Braid Out Questions...

I would like to do a braid out (haven't done this before) and there were a few things that I was wondering about before I started. Any assistance is greatly appreciated as always.

When doing braids for braid outs does that hair have to be damp or freshly washed?

Is it better to use product before braiding or not (tea tree oil, Argan oil, coconut oil, some kind of moisturiser)?

Seeing as i'm transitioning...Do I need to press my hair before I braid it?

Is it better to sleep on it or sit under the dryer?

How do you get the ends to curl? (flexi rod?, roller?)

:drunk:

I don't use heat, so if I do a braid out or twist out it has to be on dry hair with a tiny bit of moisturizer of setting lotion overnight. If I try to do it on wet or damp hair it would literally take DAYS for my hair to dry, and I don't have a ton of hair. Same goes for flexirods. I use the smallest mesh rollers on the ends to curl them I just roll the ends and clip them in like mini roller sets. A flexi rod could work too. And no, hair does not need to be freshly washed. HTH! :)

Oh, and no need to press your hair. The new growth should blend right in. I have 4a/b/c new growth.

I did mine last night on dry hair I just use come coconut oil. I normally do this when stretching my flat ironing jobs so my hair was moderately straight so I did not use any heat.
