I have washed my braids about four or five times since I got them two or three weeks ago. My braids are starting to frizz. Is there anyway I can salvage my style and still be able to wash my braids more than once a week?

Mine do the same thing. I wash about 2x a week. I just get the edges retouched more often. About every 3 weeks.

I currently have braids. I either wear a net or a stocking cap when I wash my braids (once a week) so that I don't disturb the style. After my braids are somewhat dry, I spray S-curl activator on them, which actually makes my braids look fresher. I also wear a scarf at night. HTH

hi HR:

Great post.

I rinse my braids every day. (My braids are made from just my hair, which is a few inches past my shoulders. My natural hair is not as long as Den1, but it's past my shoulders.)

After rinsing my braids, I put them in pony tails using the ponytail holders made from stocking mesh that I purchase at CVS. I make four ponytails...two on each side.

Each pony tail has about four holders (spaced out from begining to end. ) I let my hair dry like this for about 15-20 minutes, with a silk scarf tied around.

This air-drying keeps my braids neat and reduces the frizz.

I hope that helps.

Hey! Great idea Coily! I will try that. Thank you.
