How do you do box braids? Do you have to have synthetic hair? Does your hair have to be a certain length?

"box" braids only refers to how you part the hair, part the hair in sections like a box and then you braid it. You hair only has to be long enough to braid to get them and you can add extensions for length if you like. You don't have to if you don't want to.
