bought a halfwig 2day..:(

hello can anyone help me out?
I just bout a half wig today. Its synthetic. I like it and everything but I'm kind of starting to regret it.. before I didnt like them and didnt ever plan to wear one. but after hearing how alot of you ladies love them I decided to give them a try since I'm badly in need of a protective style.

Anyway, I bought it at a local beauty supply. I paid $25 plus tax.
is this too much for a synthetic half wig?

But thats not even the main problem and why I feel like I wasted my money, but that the thing dont even fit my head! and it doesnt come with a draw string... In the back there is a big lump!! what can I do to make this thing fit. I know I cant return it so I need some advice..

I'm soooo upset about this..I really cant afford to waste money like this.

hey, thanks for responding..I can post pictures a little later. but I dont think you will be able to see the the problem...

It seems to be too big so there is a lot of extra space. Its not flat on my head.

What brand is it? Is it too big? I have one that has extra room in the back but the perimeter still fits. If it's curly you maybe able to get away with it without it being noticable.

maybe wig clips can be sewn in to help it stay secure

no its straight and its noticable!!

I think pics might be helpful. Does the wig have straps in the back inside? If so you can adjust so that it fits more snugly.

no..it doesnt..I wish it did.. I'm thinking about just getting rid of it..maby selling it on craigslist or something... I dont want to but I wont feel comfortable wearing a wig that doesnt fit my head.. I wish I'd have have not rushed to get one so quickly..boy does this suck... Now i dont even know what I will be doing to my hair tomorrow how

I am so sorry T. I would try to make a notch and sew it, by notch I mean a lil pinch. Do it on both sides- it will make it tighter.

I agree with SelfStyled. I overlapped the band on each side of my wig once (the area about 1/2 inch behind the ears) and sewed it together. It worked out fine.

Sew in wig clips. I have a small head and no wigs ever fit so I always sew in wig clips to hold the "lump" down. It really works. Before I got hip to wig clips I would use bobby pins.

I say fold it and pin it on the sides or like the ladies are saying sew it. As for the price I have paid $24.99 for a half wig that I really liked. Typically though I pay about $20 for them at the local bss.
