So I've been sitting under the dryer for a REALLY long time now. It's kind of annoying but I know it's the magical key for my hair. I'm sitting for a saran wrap (20 min.). I already sat for the DC (20 min.), oil treatment (20 min.) and rollerset drying (1 hr.).
Anyway, I have to sit on my nightstand table (normal chairs don't work bc I'm 6 ft. tall) and prop my portable hood dryer up on my dresser. Then I put two big books underneath the dryer.
Sometimes I have to put a pillow between my back and the dresser because the pressure kind of hurts my spine.
And I've got my feet propped up on the end of my bed while I'm typing with my laptop in my lap.
Oh yeah, and I'm slouching a little too.
When I start working I plan to buy a stand up dryer. But as a recent college graduate looking for a job (masters degree from Northwestern University, yeah baby!) this is all I've got to work with right now.
I know there are other hard-core hood dryin' sistas out there and I'd love to hear about other people's funny positions they have to get in to get their hood dryer to work properly.

Also when I had a table top I had to slouch way down (even though I'm only 5'2") to fit my head under.
, the most comfortable position for me was sitting on the floor on pillows with the dryer in my short chair. I did have to use the phone book to balance it, but it worked. The kitchen table was awful. The dryer on the stand is the best thing since sliced bread, soooo comfortable.
